From the Archive: Peninsula Arts Film Commission Premiere

Award-winning artists, Frances Scott and Bryony Gillard, showcase their original pieces for the first time. Using archive footage from the South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA), Frances and Bryony have created two new works exploring the theme of ‘Visions of History’.

A prelude of visual highlights from SWFTA’s rich and diverse archive is included, introduced by Stacey Anderson, Archive Director, SWFTA.

Bite size talk: Fake Future Present with Jilly Payne

Join Jilly Payne, Archive Film Programmer at The Box, for a talk that explores the use of its collections in the two Film Commissions that were created in 2018 based on the theme of Revolutions.

Jilly’s talk will look at how the 2018 visual artists used the archive to explore their understanding of a constantly changing technological world and the role that artificial intelligence plays.
