Motorcycle safety improving in Devon

Devon County Council’s support of motorcycle safety schemes is having a positive impact in reducing collisions involving bikers.

Last year, one biker died on Devon’s roads - the lowest number of biker deaths ever recorded in the county, and down from six in both 2012 and 2011.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision between a Honda motorcyle and a Vauxhall Astra on the westbound carriageway of the A30 near Honiton on Friday (31 May) afternoon.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a blue car seen in the area at around the time of the collision who may be able to assist the investigation.
