Special donation to ICU unit

A big thank you to Sam Pells, who paid a special visit to Pencarrow Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit, to generously donate £12,000 and to thank staff for the care that her late husband, Neville Pells, had received.

Neville had a surfing accident in 2013 and was admitted to Pencarrow, but he sadly lost his life four days later.

Hospital's new helipad gets its 'H'

After nearly seven months, the official launch of Derriford Hospital's new helipad is now fast approaching and will be taking place on Friday 5th June.

The helipad is going through its final stages of completion and now has a marked letter ‘H’ in the centre, allowing it to be clearly visible from the air.

Family donate iPads to ICU

Family and friends of Sam Bishop paid a special visit to Penrose Intensive Care Unit last week (Thursday 30 April), to generously donate five iPads to the unit and to thank staff for the care he had received whilst staying at Derriford Hospital.
