Independent developer C G Fry & Son Ltd., based near Dorchester, announces the release of its new ‘Grey’s Field’ development, located in desirable Chickerell. The local builders are launching the latest Dorset site, at an open weekend being held over Easter from the sales office at their Chesil Gate development which is also in Chickerell DT3 4DL.

The award-winning company is renowned for its extensive portfolio of quality build ranging from high-end individual houses to major developments such as the prestigious Poundbury development in Dorchester for The Duchy of Cornwall. All developments are very much design led and many have been publicly recognised with high profile design and quality awards throughout the South West.

The new mixed residential development at Grey’s Field, is a high-quality specification of two, three and four-bedroom homes, with kitchen/dining areas and en-suite shower rooms. Chickerell is well known for its annual ‘Steam & Vintage Show’, and a major attraction in the village is the Bennetts Water Gardens situated next to Chickerell Downs, a Woodland Trust wood. Chesil Beach runs along the west of the village which is part of the dramatic Jurassic Coast and the new site is just a short bus ride to the bustling and popular holiday resort of Weymouth with all its amenities and local attractions.

The latest C G Fry & Son development will include a mix of various types of homes in render, brick and stone finishes including detached, semi-detached and terrace houses as well as a freehold coach-house with its own garden. The new-build house prices will be released at the launch weekend and potential purchasers will have the opportunity to reserve their interest to buy off-plan. Visitors will be offered light refreshments throughout the Easter weekend launch and have the opportunity to view the show-home at C G Fry & Son’s popular Chesil Gate site which showcases the spacious living accommodation of the new homes to be built on the Grey’s Field development.

For purchasers who need financial help to purchase their new house, C G Fry offers the ‘Help to Buy’ Equity Loan Scheme which assists first-time buyers and those looking to move up the property ladder to purchase a new-build home. The government-backed initiative was set up to help new and existing home owners to purchase a property with as little as a 5% deposit. To date the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme has helped around 50,000 people to buy a new home and the majority of sales were to first-time buyers representing 83% of total sales.

Caroline Hill, Head of Sales and Marketing, C G Fry & Son said: “Our site at Chesil Gate has been very popular and the launch of our newest Dorset development, ‘Grey’s Field’, which is located closer to the centre of Weymouth, has been eagerly awaited. It’s a fantastic opportunity to buy a new house off-plan and live in Chickerell, which enjoys a village-style feel, yet has all the great amenities of Weymouth on its doorstep. This includes good bus routes to Dorchester and Weymouth as well as along the coast road. We are calling the Easter weekend launch, ‘Great Friday’ and visitors will be able to view the show-home at Chesil Gate in order to experience the quality of the build and visualise the interior design options. There is also the opportunity to find out more about the Government’s Help to Buy Scheme which has helped many of our purchasers buy their dream home.”
