Plymouth woman to make channel crossing for Children's Hospice

A Plymouth College staff member is preparing to swim across the English Channel next month.

Jazmin Buxton, 24, is attempting the crossing in aid of the Children’s Hospice South West which provides palliative care to children.

Buxton who completed a six hour sea swim earlier this month has been training for nearly a year to raise money for the local charity.

A case of legionnaire’s disease has found in Plymouth . It is not currently known how the person who is in Derriford hospital contracted the disease.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Plymouth on Sunday 18 August. Between 3.30 and 4pm a local woman was robbed while stood in Pomphlett Road in Plymstock.
