Police appeal following Crownhill blaze

Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspect arson in Crownhill, Plymouth.

Between 4-4.30pm on Sunday 14th June, three young men were seen in the Whin Bank Road area of Crownhill pulling the branches from a tree. The branches were subsequently set on fire outside the bedroom window of a 17-month-old child who luckily wasn’t in the room at the time.

Fire service attended and tackled the blaze. Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or who can identify the youths who started the fire.

One of the boys is described as white, aged approximately 14-years-old, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in with short blond hair wearing a blue t shirt.
