Patients have given Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre a score of 100% for its ophthalmology and endoscopy services, according to the latest results from the national Friends and Family Test.

The hospital’s day ward scored 99.6%

Overall, Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre scored 97% from the 813 patients who completed the Friends and Family questionnaire during the month of December.

All providers of health care are required to carry out the Family and Friends Test as part of the NHS’ commitment to improving the patient experience. The results of the test rest on the level to which a patient would recommend a health care facility to their nearest and dearest

Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre is well known for the quality of its patient experience and was the first hospital of its kind to achieve a rating of ‘Outstanding’ from the Care Quality Commission. Comments from patients posted on Facebook include: “All the staff were wonderful.”; “I felt looked-after the whole time”; “Everyone extremely polite and caring”, and; “I have nothing but praise for this wonderful hospital”.

Mark White, Hospital Director at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, commented: “Outstanding patient care sits at the heart of everything we do, which is why the Friends and Family Test is one of many measures we use to ensure that we maintain the highest standards of quality care.”
