Family Fun Awaits at Newton Abbot Racecourse’s Country Show

The final preparations are being made ahead of Newton Abbot Racecourse’s first Country Show on Saturday 17 August which is set to be an unmissable family event.

With children 16 and under going free and adult tickets just £4 when booked in advance, the event is promising to be a great-value day out for all of the family.

On the day over 100 exhibitors will be in attendance, ranging from tractors and 4x4s through to arts, crafts and a selection of yummy treats.

The Country Show promises something for everyone with a fun-filled children’s area including face-painting, bouncy castle, trampoline and even pony rides for the younger visitors (charges apply for children’s activities).

For those looking for something a bit more adventurous, there’s axe throwing, archery and even a shotgun clay simulator hosted by The Country Sports Shop.

Complimenting the day’s exhibitors will be a full programme of events and demonstrations including the Recycled Racehorse Falconry Team, Destiny Twirling Team, Riviera Ukulele Band, Dartmoor Hill Pony Team and South Devon Hunt.

Gates open at 10am and the show runs until 5pm offering plenty of time for visitors to view the agricultural zone, wander the extensive selection of stalls and crafts, enjoy a tasty bite to eat and maybe even cool down with a drink or two in the beer garden sponsored by St Austell Brewery.

Tickets for the Newton Abbot Racecourse Country Show are on sale online now priced at just £4 for adults or £5 on the gate on the day.
