“Fall for Donkeys” at The Donkey Sanctuary

Come along to the Ivybridge Donkey Sanctuary this October half term for a free family day out and a detailed day of donkey care demonstrations, led by the centre’s very own adoption donkeys, Pooh and Eeyore.

When: Thursday 24 October, 10am – 4pm

Where: The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge, Godwell Lane, Filham Park, Ivybridge, PL21 0LE

What: The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge hopes visitors will ‘Fall for Donkeys’ during their free family event this October half-term.

With opportunities to participate in various donkey activities, the unique day will feature educational demonstrations on all aspects of donkey care. From dentists to vets and farriers to welfare, visitors will be sure to learn something new about donkeys!

People will have the chance meet the resident herd of donkeys, including adoption donkeys Pooh and Eeyore who will take centre stage for some of the demonstrations. Visitors can also find out how adopting these two special donkeys enables the charity to continue reaching donkeys in the UK and across the world.

There will be many autumnal activities for everyone to enjoy. Visitors will be able get creative in the craft area, make enrichment items for the donkeys and create crafts to take home, as well as finding out how staff adapt their donkey care for changes in the seasons.

The Donkey World shop will be stacked with all sorts of donkey-inspired goodies, which make ideal gifts, or a perfect souvenir of the day.

All proceeds help fund the work of The Donkey Sanctuary in the community and worldwide.
