The people of Wellington will soon be able to travel further afield as well as reach their destination in both comfort and style. From September 13, Stagecoach's coach service - the South West Falcon - will be serving two new stops in Wellington.

The Falcon is an innovative interurban coach service connecting Plymouth, Exeter, Cullompton and Taunton with Bristol Airport and Bristol city centre. Launched in 2016, it is the first and only public transport link from the South West to Bristol Airport and operates 20 journeys a day, seven days a week.

All nine coaches feature free Wi-Fi, power charging, air conditioning and leather seats. And passengers can even enjoy a night out in Bristol now thanks to Falcon as its coaches run 24/7.

Stagecoach's Falcon coaches are already popular with commuters, students, day-trippers and holidaymakers and by introducing another key town in the South West to the route, Falcon can help to get more people where they need to go.

With trips running up to every hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the service is a flexible option for every kind of journey.

Mike Watson Managing Director at Stagecoach South West said: “We are delighted to be able to offer the residents of Wellington a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly way to travel.

"By offering the commuters of Wellington a direct link to the key cities across the South West we hope to play an integral part in easing congestion on the M5 and boosting the region.”

The new stop is located at Wellington Cades Farm, which is a short walk from a number of key Wellington residential areas.

Whether you’re travelling from Wellington for work or leisure, the Falcon can get you to a number of key South West destinations quickly and cheaply.

For those commuting to Exeter -  the falcon stops at Honiton Rd and Sowton Park and rides for Exeter providing onward connection into the city and to Exeter Airport.

And if you're travelling to Taunton, the Falcon stops at Blackbrook business park at Taunton.

The new Wellington Megarider is priced at £30 for a week of travel to Exeter and £45 for a week of travel to Bristol. Just head to stagecoach.com to order your smart card.

To guarantee your seat, online bookings are now open via megabus.com, you can still buy your ticket when you board, but are advised to use contactless payment if you can.
