Cooking with fire aficionados, David and Holly Jones, owners of Manna from Devon Cooking School, have just been announced as brand ambassadors of the well-established experts in cast iron stoves, Morsø. David and Holly will be using these impeccably designed ovens at events and demonstrations all over the country.

Morsø, established over 160 years ago, introduced their outdoor living collection in 2013. David and Holly will be using their Forno Oven, Grill Forno and the Morsø Kamino, available to purchase from BigFire at The Shops at Dartington, John Lewis and Hearth and Cook in Exeter. With ease of use, style and simplicity, the Morsø Outdoor Living range reaches temperature quickly, which is perfect to infuse a smokey, charred flavour into food. These very versatile ovens are perfect to cook a wide range of dishes, from baked fish to frying steaks, to grilling tandoori style. Once you’ve finished your cooking, the Morsø range emanates heat, acting as a space heater, the perfect centrepiece to gather round.

David and Holly will incorporate the Morsø ovens into their Wood Fired Oven classes at their South Devon-based cooking school in Kingswear, teaching students how to get the most from their wood fired oven. Students will learn how to use the ovens sustainably and to create delicious meals including fish, flat breads, indulgent desserts and mouth-watering pizzas.

Not only have Manna from Devon exhibited at the British Beach Polo Championships on behalf of Morsø, they have also spent two days filming recipe ideas and top tips for every budding Morsø cook to try out.

David and Holly are well known for their skills of using fire to create delicious dishes, savoury and sweet alike, which they’ve been teaching at their cooking school since 2006. Akin to the ethos of Manna from Devon, Morsø is dedicated to creating ovens that are environmentally friendly, burning wood as efficiently as possible.

Morsø has been manufacturing quality cast iron, solid fuel and gas stoves since 1853. By appointment to the Royal Danish Court, the brand has long been associated with Danish heritage; fusing tradition with contemporary design and innovation to produce a diverse range of environmentally-friendly stoves with revolutionary combustion techniques. In addition, Morsø offers a growing collection of outdoor products with a ‘Living’ range of cast iron barbeques, fire pits, grills, pizza ovens and cooking accessories.

Established in 2006, Manna from Devon Cooking School is run by Holly and David Jones who teach cooking skills to small groups in the relaxed environment of their Victorian home, positioned in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Kingswear, South Devon. The stylishly decorated, homely kitchen and the outdoor decking overlook simply stunning views across the Dart estuary to Dartmouth. In addition to the main kitchen, there is a second kitchen that is in the style of a bakery. As always, Manna from Devon only use locally sourced ingredients, cooking recipes and dishes the owners have discovered during travels around Europe and Asia.
