After its fantastically successful launch in February 2015, the team at Plymouth Pavilions are proud to announce their second BIG DAY Wedding Show on Sunday 19th February 2017. As ever they are committed to bringing together couples and their ideal wedding suppliers.

Throughout the day long extravaganza there will be two spectacular catwalk shows, demonstrations, a vintage and inspiration area, competitions, entertainment and the kind of varied exhibitors you could only find in the South West including The Eden Project, The Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Miss Ivy Events, Drakes Jewellers and the fabulous Titley Green Events.

Organiser Kim Downer is brimming with excitement about the second show and said: “We had over 1000 visitors attend our 2016 show earlier this year and I received some great feedback from both visitors and exhibitors. We want this event to be the best and the biggest Wedding Show in the area. We’ll have well over 100 specialist wedding suppliers exhibiting next year and tickets are already on sale.”

House of Fraser Plymouth jumped at the chance to work with the team again and will return as headline sponsor for a second year. Holly Martinez of House of Fraser said “We are delighted to sponsor the Big Day Wedding Show and be part of such a fantastic event.” Visitors will be able to shop exclusive collections and take part in some very exciting competitions, all courtesy of House of Fraser.

New for 2017, the Plymouth Pavilions team are also delighted to welcome Miss Ivy Events to the show. Joanne Macaskie of Miss Ivy Events has a fantastic reputation for delivering a wide number of events across the city and beyond. She will be showcasing her Out of the Box Wedding and Event Extravaganza, so you can expect to find a great variety of unusual and creative ideas for your BIG DAY. “We are very excited to be involved with this exciting and innovative Wedding Show,” said Joanne. “Not only will we be showcasing 'Out of the Box' Wedding suppliers but also suppliers for all those special occasions in the calendar! This Show has the potential to become the largest in the South West and is great for the local Plymouth economy.”

As well as many exciting new stands and old favourites, this coming year The Big Day Wedding Show have decided to support The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation. “A friend mentioned this charity to me as I hadn’t heard about it before,” says Kim. “After reading about their Founder - Naomi Thomas’ story and how her own experiences have driven her to help terminally ill couples to have the Wedding Day of their dreams, I felt compelled to offer our support to raise funds. Married couple’s pledge their wedding dresses, suits and accessories, and you can come to the show and meet this inspiring lady for yourself.”

Naomi said, “We are thrilled to be the Big Day Wedding Shows chosen charity for their February 2017 Show. Being in the West Country we often feel like we miss out on big wedding shows but this one really puts Plymouth on the map which is fantastic. It is great to bring together the exceptionally talented wedding suppliers in this area so that South West brides & grooms can get the best for their money. We really look forward to meeting with brides, grooms and suppliers from around the area.”
