Plympton Academy swimmers win relay races

Youngsters from the Plympton Academy swim academy are celebrating after winning two events at the recent Plymouth Schools Gala.
The event, organised by Devonport Royal Swimming Association, saw more than 300 students from Plymouth primary and secondary schools compete in relay races.
Swimmers from the Plympton Academy swim academy won the 11-14 year olds mixed relay and 15-18 year olds relay. It is the second year running the 15-18 year olds have won.

Mia Kerswill - 34:0
Thomas Walters - 39:0
Tom Overton - 35:5
Holly Tremayne - 32:2

*15-18 years:*
Adam Wilson - 30:6
Amy Webb - 30:9
Ella Kerswell - 33:6
Max Davies - 30:6
The swim academy train once a week at the Plympton pool and comprises of competitive swimmers and triathletes.
Coach, Jason Quitero said; “The energy from all the teams was amazing. A special mention should also go to Janek Slysz who helped manage the team and Daniel Skinner who helped organise the event.”
