The team at Hoburne Devon Bay holiday park has chosen to support Devon Air Ambulance as its nominated charity for this year.

The Paignton-based park, overlooking Goodrington Sands, supports a different charity each year as voted for by staff.

Throughout this year, the park will arrange numerous fundraising events and take part initiatives, including a parachute jump and wing walk, all to help raise vital funds for Devon Air Ambulance.

Every year, Devon Air Ambulance attends hundreds of missions across Devon and in 2019, assisted 985 patients. Most recently, the charity funded service has purchased two critical care cars which will be available to help patients when the helicopters can’t due for example to weather restrictions.

Hoburne Devon Bay, administration manager, Jacki Moor said: “Working with a charity that is local to us resonates closely with our staff and guests staying at the park. The team has already come up with some excellent fundraising ideas for this year and we hope to raise £6,000 for Devon Air Ambulance.”

Brian Chapman, from Devon Air Ambulance, added: “We would like to thank Hoburne Devon Bay for choosing to support Devon Air Ambulance. It does mean a lot and we look forward to working with them over the next year. Support from businesses such as this really does make a huge difference in helping to keep Devon’s two Air Ambulances flying.”
