Burts Potato Chips, makers of premium artisan snacks, are proud to continue their sport sponsorships with Exeter Chiefs and Plymouth Argyle for the 2018-2019 season, demonstrating the company’s love and support of all things South West.

Renewed contracts will be rolling out with both local sports teams this season, which will continue to raise awareness amongst likeminded local supporters as well as those who travel further afield and aren’t as familiar with the brand – but enjoy great crisps! This year, the brand will also be supporting local charities by donating match-day tickets to Jeremiah’s Journey and the Devon Air Ambulance, further showcasing Burts continued celebration of the sports mad South West.

Exeter Chiefs

Burts renewed arrangement with the Exeter Chiefs will see the brand sponsor established player Phil Dollman as he returns to the Aviva Premiership for his ninth season this year. Having dreamt of becoming a professional rugby player since he was just five years’ old, Phil continues to be a major part of the Chiefs’ success, and for that he says he has his dad to thank.  Phil is enjoying being part of this major club and loves being around the South-West coast enjoying everything it has to offer. When not on the pitch, Phil can be found enjoying a packet of Salt and Vinegar Burts Chips, fuelling his adventures with his dog or enjoying a spot of paddle boarding.

Plymouth Argyle

As the PAFC’s Official Snack Partner and the only crisp supplier at legendary Home Park, Burts can’t wait to have another successful year sponsoring one of be clubs talented players. Crisps are the food of choice for many when watching football, so Burts will serve as the perfect option for a flavoursome, delicious snack. This year the brand will sponsor the newly signed Tafari Moore, whose home shirt will proudly bear Burts’ logo. This young and exciting new player from the Arsenal youth team, is new to the South West but proved just how valuable he was whilst on loan at Wycombe last season. Tafari is yet to explore the area but loves being near the sea, so we’re sure he will fit right in. Much like Phil, Tafari’s success has been inspired by his father, who has always encouraged him to play to the best of his ability and overcome all of the challenges the game can present on and off the field.

Simon Knight, marketing and sales director at Burts Chips, comments: “We are yet again delighted to announce our sponsorship of two fantastic sportsmen for the 2018-2019 season. Crisps have always been an essential snack for spectator and sporting fans, so Burts are excited to continue to serve our delicious snacks throughout all of the stadiums.”

All sponsorships will be integrated into the brand’s wider marketing, PR, social media and digital campaigns for 2018/19 in the form of consumer competitions and additional sporting activities.
