Police appeal after assault and robbery in Plymouth

Police are seeking any witnesses to an assault and robbery which happened on Poole Park Road, Plymouth, at around 11pm on Friday 22nd July 2016.

The 18-year-old male victim was walking home when he was approached from behind by two men not known to him. One of the men struck the victim in the face making his nose bleed.

The two men made off with £5 in cash, a shoulder bag made of black material with a bright green lining and a computer hard drive.

One of the men is described as a white male 17 – 19 years old, 5’ 10” tall and of a slim build. He had a local accent and was wearing a red hooded top with a grey hood that was worn up.

The other man is a white male also aged 17 to 19 years and of average build. He was around 6’ tall and had short dark hair. He also had a local accent. He was wearing a button up shirt with horizontal dark and light stripes.

Police would like any witnesses to come forward. They are especially keen to talk to the man driving a white van who stopped and picked up the victim after the victim flagged him down on Wolseley Road near the Poole Park Road junction. The driver dropped him home.
