This Boxing Day, it will be easier than ever to get around Plymouth, as Stagecoach will be running buses with limited services throughout the day.

There will be two services operating in Plymouth on Boxing Day; the 1 and 2/2A. Service 1 will be running hourly from Tavistock and will travel into the City Centre and then onto Derriford Hospital.

The 2/2A will run every 30 minutes between Saltash, the City Centre and Mountbatten.

Both services will operate from 8.30am to 6.30pm and will provide transport links for the three major bus corridors; Milehouse/St Budeaux, Mannamead/Crownhill and Plymstock.

City Centre Company Manager, Jon Walton, said; “Boxing Day in the city centre is always busy with shoppers eager to get a head start on the January sales. This goes hand in hand with heavy traffic. Therefore I am really pleased that Stagecoach is extending their services to cover Boxing Day, making it a lot easier for everyone to get to where they need to be in a lot less time and with a lot less hassle!”
