Stagecoach South West has announced that, starting from Sunday 1st May, new timetables are being introduced on its 2/A and Coypool Park & Ride services.

The 2/2A service route is changing in both Plymstock and Saltash. Service 2 buses will continue onto Mount Batten every 20 minutes using the current route. The 2A will now serve Elburton every 20 minutes via a new loop along Springfield Road and Stanborough Road.  In Saltash, and in response to customer feedback, the 2 will serve Frobisher Drive instead of Beatrice Avenue

Coypool Park & Ride’s new timetable will take effect from Tuesday 3rd May, after the Bank Holiday weekend. In order to match demand, on Monday to Friday and on Saturdays buses will run up to every 20 minutes during the daytime. There will continue to be more frequent journeys during the Monday to Friday early morning and evening peak times.

At the same time the 1/X1 service is being retimed in order to improve reliability along the route.

Robert Williams, Commercial Director for Stagecoach South West, commented “We’ve spent some time looking at how each of these services is operating and identifying where improvements can be made. I’m particularly pleased to be able to offer residents of Elburton a new, frequent connection across Plymouth.”

Full details of the new timetables are available in print and online at www.stagecoachbus.com and www.travelinesw.com. For latest service updates customers can follow Stagecoach on Twitter @stagecoachsw.
