An employee at Western Power Distribution (WPD) has taken part in the Plymouth 10K to raise cash for Epilepsy Action.

Plymouth-based Finance Assistant Carolyn Everson ran in memory of a friend’s son who passed away following an epilepsy attack in 2017.

The route took runners from the city centre, heading towards Marsh Mills along the embankment, taking advantage of the beautiful scenery.

With 3,000 runners taking part on the day, Carolyn said the atmosphere was great: “My legs felt like lead after the 9K mark, but I managed to cross the finish line! It was a fantastic event and

I’m so proud to have raised £250 for a charity that helps to provide vital research for people diagnosed with epilepsy daily.”
