PKF Francis Clark in Truro, was delighted to be a sponsor of the recent Macmillan Christmas Fair held at the Eden Project earlier this month. The event raised a record-breaking £64,000. The money will go towards directly supporting Cornwall’s cancer patients.

The famous biomes at Eden were turned Macmillan Green for the duration of the Fair and played host to one of the county’s most vibrant and popular Christmas events.  Visitors enjoyed a huge range of festive stalls offering gifts, home accessories, stocking fillers, clothing and jewellery. There was also a wonderful array of local food producers and suppliers.

Tom Roach, Partner said: “The Macmillan Christmas Fair, hosted in the wonderful Eden Project, heralds the start of the season of goodwill in the county. We were delighted to be a part of the event, sponsoring the train and raising a record amount of money for such a worthy cause.”

Committee Co-Chairman Jane Hartley went on to say: “This is the biggest amount we have raised in the event’s history, since the Fair was first launched 26 years ago by our President Lady Mary Holborow.

“We have now raised in excess of £634,000 for Macmillan in Cornwall.  From the committee of volunteers, stallholders and business sponsors, through to the Eden Project and the visitors themselves, we’re very grateful to everyone for their continued support.”

The 2018 Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair will take place on Thursday 8th November (Preview Wednesday 7th) at the Eden Project.
